Our Story

Mission Statement

The mission of Sentinel Peak High School is to provide a rigorous and individualized educational program to meet the needs of its students. Sentinel Peak is specifically designed for students who have experienced attendance, academic, and/or behavior challenges. As an alternative school, the staff is committed to creating opportunities for students to achieve educational and personal success. 

Belief Statement

Sentinel Peak High School is the alternative high school within the Flowing Wells School District. The school is designed for students who have experienced attendance, academic, and/or behavior challenges. Our goal is for every student to earn their high school diploma and to set them on a career path.  We believe that the foundation to achieve this  goal is to build authentic relationships with each and every student.  We have established a rigorous curriculum that incorporates a blended instructional model that allows students to experience academic success. We develop an individualized graduation plan for every student and push them to meet their graduation goals. We encourage students to explore post-secondary options through our many programs and community partnerships.

School Hours

Sentinel Peak High School students attend school Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. Each nine weeks, students receive a schedule in which they will take three classes. Additional credits can be earned by completing Edgenuity classes outside of the normal school day.

After school study hall is available Monday-Thursday from 2:45-4:30.
